Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!
Gosh! Is this for real? We're about to teach English online! Seriously, I've never thought about this cool idea before. I took Bachelor of Education (hons.) TESL but yet, I have no intention of taking teaching as a career.
I love learning different languages and I feel happy to see people benefit from things that they have learnt from me - directly or indirectly, but to stand in front of a bunch of people (be it little kids or adults), trying to make them understand things that I have when nearly half of them are not so interested, panics me. When I'm panicked, you would see me looking at my watch now and then anxiously. When a teacher is anxious, the students would be anxious too. When the students are anxious, they would find it difficult to get the lesson into their mind.
That would be a waste of time, wouldn't it?
Instead of being panicked in front of a bunch of people in a classroom, I'd rather sit in my bedroom planning lessons for those who are interested to learn (yes, without having to show you my panicked face!). Oh well, if you're not, you can just take a peak at some of the entries, they could be useful to you. *wink*
I would like to thank Uculer for this brilliant idea (of giving lessons online). Allah showed me the way through her, and I'm grateful. Alhamdulillah. By the way, Uculer would be giving out lessons here too.
A little bit about Uculer: She loves reading, cross-stitch and would like to travel the world. As she has insufficient fund for travelling, the easiest would be walking through passages in books. Used to be a private tutor, job responsibilities have pushed her to resort to use Internet to share the little knowledge that she has.
Uculer and I first met at a Kapasitor gathering some time last year. To know what Kapasitor is about, make sure you visit the site. Maybe you could even practice whatever that you have learnt from this site by writing in Kapasitor.
